They like me! Oh no, they like me....

Feed me Seymour!

If you've got the wrong friends. The wrong job. The wrong lover. How long before you feel the unimaginable weight of all of your commitments?

Knowing that it was you who chose them all and are now weighted down by there never ending hunger for more of your soul and your flesh?

feed

How long before you're laying alone in the dark restless for lack of a plan of how to sustain all of these leeches to your life? All the while never wanting to admit that you will have to be alone to be without them.

Feed

The knowledge that the sickness that you have accepted seeing them feast upon the essence of who you are and calling it friendship, companionship. How long can you resist the masochistic pleasure of them gnawing on your very bones?

Feed.

You consigned yourself to the job. The day in day out 9 to 5 cog in the wheel for monetary reward and little even of that. How much more does it take than it pays?

Feed!

You banded yourself to the unholy Band of Brothers who you pledged defense even while they partook of your strength. Few and far between the times that they were there for you.

Feed me.

And then worst of all you laid in the arms of a creature whose every word was a bite from your very flesh. Devoured first, was the heart that you offered to her. And from then on your soul which you offered daily.

Feed me Seymour.

Yes, how long before you feel the unimaginable weight of all these usurpers? As the darkness closes in and the stone slab slowly rolls across your sarcophagus. Will you take to the escape? And once again embrace the freedom of the light away from your devourers?

Feed me Seymour!

The light may be heavy but it is heavy with gifts and nourishment. Will you make the escape?

Feed Me All Night Long!

The Little Shop of Horrors had been on my mind earlier today. And then it was referenced for a second time (So I knew it was destiny to write something for it.) by my friend Leslie Henick who has yet to take a bite out of me. LOL Although he is quite the chef so I know he would take pictures of it and post them. LOL

  1. Funny! It makes more sense when you think of how common this parasitic affliction really is... sad but true.

    1. Even worse no one really likes to admit that sometimes they are those friends.
