They like me! Oh no, they like me....

In the land of Rodriguez

The Bard sat before the raging bonfire, erected for just this occasion. He went still as he closed his eyes to concentrate. Then slowly opened them in a shrewd gaze and began....

Once, not long ago in a far-off land where river ran. Stood a house, two mothers two daughter granddaughters to count. In time of June another year they did bloom. Always the smell of Jasmine fill the room.

And to this fam one man to stand, father grandfather with plan. To one day marry off three. What joyous time that would be. To leave him with one woman to be.

Yet with another year down and two youngest princesses with crowns. Beautiful smiles all around. But the man never frowned. For he was the talk of the Town. No other man blessed with such young beauty to be found.

Happy birthdays to two. Blessed tidings to two more. For beauty for Spirit may you never want for more.

As The Bard watched the reactions of the townsfolk. Their eyes pleaded to hear the moral to the story. With a laugh and a remembrance he told them....

No moral my good people! Just a lesson, know that if you cannot have sons the only thing better is to have strong daughters granddaughters!

To the Royal House of Rodriguez. And her majesty Queen D. a person who remembered my birthday even though a day too soon. I did not do her the justice of remembering half as much. This is The Bard's apology, the only one a Bard can give.
