Poe day
Edgar Allan Poe
January 19th 1809 ~ 1849 (Or not)
Oh goodness. I'm just fine.
It's the voices!
My business is doing fine.
I don't believe them but they won't stop!
You know, every day you wake up is a blessing.
The walls are painted red, but the blood still seeps through.
Love is all you need.
Why won't you tell me that you hear it too?
And there's always more love to go around.
They tricked me into letting them stay here. Now they trespass on my sanity.
Life really is too short for hate.
If you lay still forever I can love you.
Never let a bad thing get you down. Just pick your head up and smile!!
The voices only stop when I cry.
What a beautiful day for a picnic. The ambiance is to die for.
The shadow of the Gallows rule this day!
I have the love and support of such a strong, forgiving, and supportive family.
A cursed litter. I find myself born a Kerr unto a demon horde.
Life will always have its ups and downs. But I will always be where the sun can find me.
Merciless black sun burns evermore as I slide down the pit into which the pendulum awaits. Then to will I be split undying, to be tortured twice fold.
I will walk hand-in-hand with an Angel to companion my every breath.
I will walk hand-in-hand with desolation to destroy companion of my every thought.
After a while the pain becomes beautiful.

What most people see with their outer eye and keep as reality he saw with the eye that sees behind that reality and wrote about it.

ReplyDeleteI had a vision once. It was a dream in someone else's reality. I had a life once. it was a life in someone else's country. Now I have LOL and it's mine. Laughing out loud all the way to the gallows.

ReplyDeleteAnnabel Lee......💗
Annabel Lee
BY EDGAR ALLAN POE
It was many and many a year ago,
In a kingdom by the sea,
That a maiden there lived whom you may know
By the name of Annabel Lee;
And this maiden she lived with no other thought
Than to love and be loved by me.
I was a child and she was a child,
In this kingdom by the sea,
But we loved with a love that was more than love—
I and my Annabel Lee—
With a love that the wingèd seraphs of Heaven
Coveted her and me.
And this was the reason that, long ago,
In this kingdom by the sea,
A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling
My beautiful Annabel Lee;
So that her highborn kinsmen came
And bore her away from me,
To shut her up in a sepulchre
In this kingdom by the sea.
The angels, not half so happy in Heaven,
Went envying her and me—
Yes!—that was the reason (as all men know,
In this kingdom by the sea)
That the wind came out of the cloud by night,
Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee.
But our love it was stronger by far than the love
Of those who were older than we—
Of many far wiser than we—
And neither the angels in Heaven above
Nor the demons down under the sea
Can ever dissever my soul from the soul
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
For the moon never beams, without bringing me dreams
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And the stars never rise, but I feel the bright eyes
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee;
And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side
Of my darling—my darling—my life and my bride,
In her sepulchre there by the sea—
In her tomb by the sounding sea.
That's the story that inspired one of my more favorite writes written years ago.
DeleteI actually gave it to my Annabel Lee. But of course she didn't understand it with her eyes She couldn't see. Now these days she's gone from me I reign in the Kingdom by the sea.
So for this I cannot say thank you to a Shining Stone or a Lady C. Through bitter tears and the situation left to me. Given to me by my Annabel Lee. Hardheads you say, I laugh with Glee. There are none such in My Kingdom by the sea.
Of happy times I let them be. I live alone there is no we. I know the sun shines, I admit to thee. But life is, what life is. It will be what it will be.
I already knew Poe and I share a Sandia Resort Day. Now, I am glad to know you were somewhere in the Universe at the same time.
ReplyDeleteMy heart to joy at the same tone —
ReplyDeleteAnd all I lov'd — I lov'd alone —
That was very good.
