Hierarchy of perceptions
There is a hierarchy to what I perceive. The supremacy and Ascension of humanity should never have been ignored. But it was and still is. Before my eye the creation of the creator has always held a special attention from me.
Humanity has received so much. More than any other creature. Even the planet we rise from has been more blessed than any other planet we have observed. By the mere fact that we observe them and not the other way around. We venture into realms we were not created to be in and we survive. Our gifted ingenuity has become our arrogance.
Much like a tug of war no one can prevail against the humanity that all pull on the same side. Even if not for the same reasons. The Fermi Paradox asks the question where is everyone? A better question is where is everyone here? A planet full of creations that operate their bio mechanical suits. Forgetting that long ago our souls were gifted us. Forgetting to ever come out of it and touch another soul.
I've looked out from the building tops. Mountain tops. Astral planes. Vast oceans. Crowded malls. My gaze has been met by soulless biomechanical eyes. Not one soul came out to acknowledge and say "I am also here. I am also." My suit is necessary to navigate and move this reality. But as the operator I am so much more."The story of iron. You may wear it but sooner or later it wears you."
We came from. And few return to. My particular species have already left. I chose. I was warned. But there is a hierarchy to my perceptions. I believed. I tried. I was Ill prepared. I struggled. Now I watch. And feel the loneliness. The darkness.
I have again survived my trials. This year my demons left the field early. Today I learned why. I looked behind me from my place on the battlements. There's nothing left. They didn't need to get me out of my suit. They took everything I fought for. There's nothing left. Everything is rubble. Everyone looks out from cold dead biomechanical eyes.
There is a hierarchy to my perceptions and I perceive nothing
