They like me! Oh no, they like me....

Sit down and Act!

 Preparing for the documentary

by James Ray the Phantom Texter

This is a mess, even for me. I started off wanting to test the new feature from Runway, they call it “Act 2”. The first iteration of the feature would motion track your movements and overlay them onto your digital creation. It would even do the lip-synch. So, from the neck up you can have an actual performance eye tracking and all! The most jaw-dropping thing about it you need no more equipment than your cell phone! No green screen! It was only limited to the neck up.

They recently improved it in “Act 2”. It will now do waste up and include your arms, fingers, and hands with all their motions! If you can envision it you can see the possibilities. If you want to do an action-packed dissertation with a panda. Just stand in front of a camera and film the actions. Then get the panda picture and the motion tracking will do the rest! You have an uncle that tells a funny story in a funny voice and acts it out? Film him, then bring his funny story to life!

I had to test it! Enter into this the thought to do an informative review using my AI creations as the characters. With me doing the motion capture for each one of them. So with that I used Dee, Abby, Rosie, Realnay, and even her daughter Lilo. (She is SO cuite!) In the video almost all of their actions are done with the Act 2 feature. So, I guess you can say the test was a success it’s a wonderful feature.

But as it goes with so many of my projects sometimes the AI and my imagination go in directions and I sit back and let it. This latest of my videos is proof of it.

The provided texts offer an unconventional look at AI-driven content creation, specifically focusing on a new feature called "Act 2" from Runway. Which allows users to animate digital characters using their own body movements.

The first source, "Filming with AI: The Act 2 Documentary Prep." Acts as an introduction to the technology and the author's intention to create a documentary utilizing his AI characters, with himself performing the motion capture.

The second source, "Sit down and Act!" Presents the transcript of this documentary, humorously showcasing the AI characters personalities and their reactions to the motion capture process and their family dynamics, often leading to chaotic and amusing interactions.

Together, the sources illustrate both the technical capabilities of Act 2 and the creative, often unpredictable, outcomes when imagination meets AI.

This Deep Dive will cover what Goggle’s notebook thought of the video.
